FAQs

What should I expect during a women's health/pelvic floor physical therapy initial evaluation?

We will ask you a very detailed history and go over all of your symptoms that you are presenting with. We will assess your posture and joint range of motion, as well as your strength. If you are coming in for a pelvic floor initial evaluation, we will may do an internal exam if needed to palpate the muscles that may responsible for your symptoms.  From this evaluation, we will determine what exercises to give you as part of your home exercise program and crate a plan for future visits.

Do I need a doctor’s referral & Do you accept insurance?

You can see a physical therapist without a physical therapy script for either up to 10 visits or 30 calendar days, whichever comes first. This jurisdiction is allowed through Direct Access in New York State & New Jersey. After that time, you will need to contact a doctor to obtain a physical therapy script.

We are out of network with all insurances but we do provide a super bill at the end of every session. You can submit that to the insurance for potential reimbursement.

What should I expect during a pediatric physical therapy initial evaluation

We will examine and observe your child while exploring your child’s medical history, discussing their health issues, and talking with you about the goals of therapy. At the end of the evaluation, we will present the findings and results, and give you a plan for therapy tailored to your child’s needs.
